Good news in Bogota. The court strike ended on Saturday, so courts re-open Monday and my case should be filed then. I will have only lost one day because of the strike. Considering that some people lost 3 weeks, I can't complain at all. If you click Read More, you will see some pictures of what we have been doing.
Cristian and I have been seeing more of Bogota. We went to Monserrate, a mountain top church about 10,000 feet above sea level. We took the cable cars to the top, which was an experience. He definitely doesn't have many fears. The day was fairly clear (for Bogota) so we got some good pictures of the city. After that, our guide, Jorge Rico, took us to the Candelaria area of Bogota. The Candelaria is the "old city" dating to the 1600s. We had lunch in a great restaurant that was built in a very old house. Then we walked down to Bolivar Square so Cristian could feed the pigeons. We saw some old churches and government buildings.
On Saturday, I installed a wireless internet router at Betty's Place and then spent several hours trying to get her internet access back up after her main router failed. It was all running great, then the power went out Sunday morning, and I had to do it all again.
On Saturday night, Cristian and I went to dinner at Archie's Pizza with Julie and Tamara, who are each adopting babies. John King came down with his Kidsave daughter Nataly and another Kidsave child AnnaMaria, and joined us. Afterwards, John and I and the older kids went to Pasteleria Guernica for dessert and coffee.
