Austin Futsal is now seeking board members from all Austin area clubs to assist in the planning and execution for the Winter 2004-05 season. To volunteer, please complete this form or email info@austinfutsal.org

The Austin Futsal Association operated from 1993 to 2000, reaching a size of 1300 players and over 150 teams competing in three local leagues. During this time, the AFA sent three teams to the US Futsal National Championships and each team advanced to the final round championship game. In addition the AFA hosted international matches involving the Australian ODP futsal teams.

Futsal is an outstanding training and development game for youth players and unlike other indoor games, demands the same tactical and technical execution as the outdoor game. During the time that Austin Futsal played, its members included teams from the Capitals, Longhorns, Flyers, Chaps, Rangers, Warriors, Eagles, Crossfire and nearly every Division I and II club, as well as recreational teams playing to enhance their skills and enjoy the beautiful game of soccer.
